The shield is supported by a red banner inscribed with the college’s motto in Tamil ‘நன்றின்பால் உய்ப்பது அறிவு’ (442, Thirukkural, Thiruvalluvar) meaning ‘Knowledge…, but Keeping it Away from Evil and Directing it Only Towards Good’ supported by a pair of elephants. These motifs are ensconced by a green circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college in Tamil.
