GOVERNMENT ARTS COLLEGE, KOVILPATTI (GASC KOVILPATTI) The emblem of Government Arts College, Kovilpatti (GASC Kovilpatti) features a shield housing the motifs of a space shuttle, the gopuram of Shenbagavalli Amman Temple, a hockey stick with a ball, an anchor, and an open book. Below the shield, the motto of the college is inscribed. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the space shuttle refers to science and technology; the gopuram refers to heritage, history and divine blessings and guidance; the hockey stick with ball refers to fitness, sports and games; the anchor symbolises stability, hope, steadfastness, and strength; and the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom.
