The shield-shaped emblem of Arignar Anna College (AAC) is inscribed with a fish, a pair of coconut trees and a ‘kuthuvilakku’ (a traditional lamp). The shield is supported by a banner inscribed with the motto of the college. The shield shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery;  the fish is the emblem of the erstwhile ‘Pandya Kingdom’, the region in which the college is located; and the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity.
