HOLY CROSS COLLEGE (HCC TRICHY) The emblem of Holy Cross College (HCC Trichy) features a shield housing the motifs of a glowing Cross with letters ‘H’ and ‘C’ on the sides supported by a lotus on a waterbody. The shield is ensconced by a blue banner inscribed with its tagline ‘The Cross Our Hope’ and its motto ‘Truth Charity’ with a star cresting the shield. The Cross symbolises Christianity, representing Jesus Christ's crucifixion, sacrifice, love, and resurrection, signifying redemption, hope, and victory over death; the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; and the star symbolises perfect harmony among all things in life, with its points providing insight into how we can strive towards achieving this goal.
