GOVERNMENT ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE, KANYAKUMARI (GASCKK) The emblem of Government Arts and Science College, Kanyakumari (GASCKK) features a circle housing the motifs of a shield with a glowing sun, an archer, an open book supported by an hand and crested by a mortarboard hat, the gopuram of Sri Thanumalayan Temple and the seashore of Kanyakumari; supported by the Statue of Thiruvalluvar on Sea, a pair of coconut trees and an open book with a traditional lamp. On the circle, a blue banner inscribed with the motto of the college in Tamil ‘முயற்சி திருவினை ஆக்கும்’ (616, Thirukkural, Thiruvalluvar) meaning ‘Effort Bring Prosperity’ is inscribed. The circle is ensconced by a blue circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college in Tamil.
