The motifs are surmounted by a blue banner inscribed with the motto of the college in Tamil ‘உள்ளத்தனையது உயர்வு’ (Thiruvalluvar, 595, Thirukkural) meaning ‘The Height of Life is the Measure of the Motivation of the People. It is supported by the name of the college written in Tamil.
