ANANDA COLLEGE (AC) The emblem of Ananda College (AC) features a blue panel inscribed with the motifs of a globe holding a traditional lamp and supported by a pair of abstract humans on sides and an open book at the bottom. The motto of the college ‘அன்பில் ஒளிர’ meaning ‘To Shine in Love’ surmounts the motifs and the name of the college in Tamil supports them. The globe denotes education, knowledge, influence, timelessness, global unity and interconnectedness; the lamp refers to light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; and the humans symbolises the efforts of the educated and knowledgeable students protecting the globe.
