A brown decorative banner placed below the pennant is inscribed with the motto of the college in Tamil ‘உள்ளுவதெல்லாம் உயர்வுள்ளல்’ (596, Thirukkural, Thiruvalluvar) meaning ‘All One thinks About Should be About High Things’.
