ARASU ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE (WOMEN) (AASCW) The blue emblem of Arasu Arts and Science College (Women) (AASCW) features a shield inscribed with the motifs of a charka, an open book with a nib of a pen, a farmer with a hoe and a globe held by a hand. The shield is supported on sides by a pair of laurels, crested by a mortarboard hat, and its motto ‘Learn! Grow! Serve!’. Below the shield, on a blue banner, the name of the college is inscribed in yellow. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the charka refers to village industries and self-reliance; the book with nib refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the farmer refers to agriculture and farming; the globe on hand refers to protection of the world and sustenance of the populace; and the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.
