BETHLAHEM COLLEGE OF EDUCATION (BETHLAHEM BED) The shield-shaped emblem of Bethlahem College of Education (Bethlahem BEd) houses the motifs of a a cross, a pair of crests of paddy, an open book, a star and a handshake along with the texts of ‘Blessings’ and ‘Bethlahem’. Below the shield, on a banner, the motto of the college ‘Arise and Shine’ is written. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the cross refers to Christianilty and the college’s religious affiliation; the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the paddy refers to agriculture, nature, sustenance and growth; the star refers to divine guidance and blessings; and the handshake  refers to goodwill, agreement, or farewell, representing trust, respect, and equality.
