Below the shield, on a banner, the motto of the college in Latin ‘Sapere Aude’ meaning ‘Dare to Know’ is inscribed. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the book refers to learning, education, knowledge and wisdom; the mountains refer to the Western Ghats; the cotton plant and the gear wheels refer to the cotton production and textile industry of the place; and the honeycomb with bees refer to the production of honey in Coimbatore.
