GOVERNMENT ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE, THENNANGUR (GASC THENNANGUR) The emblem of Government Arts and Science College, Thennangur (GASC Thennangur) features a shield carrying the motifs of poet Thiruvalluvar, an open book, the temple tower of Sri Panduranga Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu as Panduranga and Rukmayee, featuring unique architecture inspired by both Puri and Maharashtra styles and a mortarboard hat with a scroll, supported by a pair of laurels. These are ensconced by a blue and white circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. Below the seal, on a blue banner the motto of the college in Tamil ‘கற்க கசடற’ (391, Thirukkural, Thiruvalluvar) meaning ‘Learn Thoroughly What Should be Learned’ is inscribed.
