ANNAI SCHOLASTICA ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE FOR WOMEN (ASASCW) The shield-shaped emblem of Annai Scholastica Arts and Science College for Women (ASASCW) features the motifs of a stack of books with a mortarboard hat and a scroll, a glowing flame in orange, a girl claiming six steps of six colours towards a trophy,  a banyan tree and a female sex symbol housing an abstract motif of group of girls and a cross. The name of the college is written below the shield. The motto of the college ‘Dream, Dare, Be the Change’ is written on a banner placed below the shield. The group of girls refer to the ‘women’s college; the Cross refer to the religious orientation of the college; the female symbol denotes empowerment of women and refer to the island of Rameswaram; the books refer to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the mortarboard hat or Oxford hat with a scroll denote educational achievement, equality, tradition and rights of passage; the flame of fire symbolises the kindling...
