DR. MGR JANAKI COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCE FOR WOMEN The oval-shaped emblem of Dr. MGR Janaki College of Arts and Science for Women features a woman with books in her left hand and a torch in right hand climbing up a long staircase. The motif is ensconced by an oval border inscribed with the name of the college and a pair of laurels. Below the seal, on a banner, the motto of the college ‘Excellence Through Diligence’ is written. The motif of a woman refers to the enlightenment, empowerment and growth of women through education and learning. The laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.
