GOVERNMENT MOHAN KUMARAMANGALAM MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL (GMKMC) The emblem of Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College and Hospital (GMKMC) features the Staff of Hermes or Staff of Caduceus with a pair of wings and entwined by a pair of serpents crested with a circle housing the image of Stanley Reservoir on the river Cauvery and supported by a banner inscribed with the motto of the college ‘Sincerity Service Salvation’. The staff with the snake has long been a symbol of medicine and the medical profession.
