ARIGNAR ANNA GOVERNMENT ARTS COLLEGE, NAMAKKAL (AAGACNKL) The emblem of Arignar Anna Government Arts College, Namakkal (AAGACNKL) features shield housing the motifs of a ‘kuthuvilakku’ (a traditional lamp), an open book, an image of Namakkal Fort and the name of the college is written in the middle. The shield is surmounted by a lotus supporting the State Emblem of Tamilnadu with a pair of elephants supporting on the sides. Below the shield, on a banner, the motto of the college in Tamil ‘கற்றனைத் தூறும் அறிவு’ (Thiruvalluvar, 396, Thirukkutal) meaning ‘Knowledge Grows As Much As One Learns’.is inscribed.
