VP MUTHIAH PILLAI MEENAKSHI AMMAL ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE FOR WOMEN (VPMMASCW) The emblem of VP Muthiah Pillai Meenakshi Ammal Arts and Science College for Women (VPMMASCW) features an image of Goddess Andal (8th–9th century) is the only female among the 12 South Indian Alvar saints, revered as an incarnation of Bhudevi (Earth Goddess) and a consort of Lord Vishnu, which represents the history and heritage of the place. The image is supported by a pair of buildings and ensconced by a gearwheel inscribed with the name of the managing Trust. The name and address of the college is written at the bottom. The gearwheel symbolises technology, engineering, interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; and the Goddess refers to divine grace, blessings and guidance.
