GOVERNMENT ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE, ERIYUR (GASC ERIYUR) The emblem of Government Arts and Science College, Eriyur (GASC Eriyur) features a shield supported by a pair of laurels housing the motifs of a an open book, a mortarboard hat with a scroll and crested by a tiara inscribed with the tagline of the college in Tamil ‘அறிவே ஆற்றல்’ meaning ‘Knowledge is Power’. The motto of the college in Tamil ‘ஒழுக்கம் உழைப்பு உயர்வு’ meaning ‘Discipline Hard Work Progress’ is inscribed on a banner placed on the shield at the bottom. A traditional lamp is placed below the banner. The name of the college in Tamil surmounts the motifs.
