GOVERNMENT ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE, REDDIARCHATRAM (GASC REDDIARCHATRAM) The emblem of Government Arts and Science College, Reddiarchatram (GASC Reddiarchatram) features a shield housing the motifs of an open book, Dharma Chakra, a hand holding a torch with flame and a pair of hands holding a fresh shoots of a plant, supported by the motto of the college in Tamil ‘’ meaning ‘’ and ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the Dharma Chakra symbolises the wheel of life and dharma; the torch symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; and the plant held by hands refers nurturing nature, growth, sustenance and life.
