GOVERNMENTA RTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, PARAMAKUDI (GACPMK) The emblem of Government Arts and Science College for Women, Paramakudi (GACPMK) features the gopuram of  supported by a traditional lamp and an open book at the bottom and a pair of laurels on sides is ensconced by a border with green and blue outlines inscribed with the name and place of the college. Below the seal, on a blue banner, the motto of the college in Tamil ‘அன்பு, அடக்கம், அறிவு; meaning ‘Love, Humility, Knowledge’ is inscribed. The gopuram symbolises history and heritage and divine blessings and guidance; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; and the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.
