V.O.C. COLLEGE OF EDUCATION (VOCCE) The ship-shaped emblem of  V.O.C. College of Education (VOCCE) houses the motifs of a ship on the ocean; a lotus and a swan. The ship on the ocean refers to the shipping operations carried out by the nationalist Shri V. O. Chidambaram Pillai against British imperialism; the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; and the swan is a sacred bird and are symbols of grace and beauty. Below the emblem, the motto of the college in Tamil ‘அன்பு அறிவு அறம்’ meaning ‘Love Wisdom Virtue’ is written.
