GOVERNMENT ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE, VEERAPANDI (GASC VEERAPANDI) The emblem of Government Arts and Science College, Veerapandi (GASC Veerapandi) features the images of gopuram of Gowmari Amman Temple, an open book with tiara and a pair of laurels, a water dam, and a traditional lamp ensconced by a green circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college and supported by a brown banner inscribed with the motto of the college in Tamil ‘ஒழுக்கம் அறிவு வெற்றி’ meaning ‘Discipline Knowledge Success’. The temple gopuram refers to divine guidance and blessings; the book refers to knowledge, learning, education and wisdom; the dam refers to the Veerapandi River Check Dam; and the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity.
