AVINASI GOUNDER MARIAMMAL COLLEGE OF EDUCATION (AGMCOE) The emblem of Avinasi Gounder Mariammal College of Education (AGMCOE) features a circle inscribed with the letter ‘A’ inscribed with the college’s motto in Tamil ‘அறிவு உண்மை அழகு’ meaning ‘Knowledge Truth Beauty’ and a traditional lamp supported by an open book and a lotus, ensconced by a green circular border inscribed with the name of the college and its place. The seal is surmounted by a pair of laurels and supported by a red banner inscribed with the tagline of the college in Tamil ‘ஒளிர்வோம் ஒளிர்விப்போம்’ (Psalm 112:4) meaning ‘Shine and Let Shine’.
