The purple and blue colour shield-shaped emblem of Varuvan Vadivelan College of Education (VVCE) features the initials of the college’s managing Trust ‘VVIT’ and the motifs of a a computer, a satellite dish antenna, an open book and a mortarboard hat, a pair of gear wheels, and an airplane. The shield is supported by a banner inscribed with the motto of the college ‘Experience the Excellence’. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the book and the mortarboard hat or Oxford hat symbolise education, learning, knowledge, educational achievement, equality, tradition and rights of passage; and the other elements refer to science and technology.
