A DORAISAMY NADAR MARAGATHAVALLI AMMAL COLLEGE FOR WOMEN (AUTONOMOUS) (ADNMACW) The emblem of A Doraisamy Nadar Maragathavalli Ammal College for Women (Autonomous) (ADNMACW) features a shield inscribed with the motifs of the the minaret of Nagoor Dargha, the gopuram of Sri Kayarohanaswami Temple, spires of  Velankanni Church, a pair of women holding lamps and an open book. On a banner placed above the shield, the name of the college is written and the banner placed below the shield is inscribed with the motto of the college ‘Discipline Duty Devotion’. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the towers of the places of worship refer to divine blessings and guidance; the book refers to education, knowledge, learning and wisdom; and the women holding the lamps symbolise light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity.
