The name of the college and its place is written above the motifs. On a banner placed below the shield, the motto of the college in Tamil ‘நுண்பொருள் காண்பது அறிவு’ (424, Thirukkural, Thiruvalluvar) meaning ‘To Examine the Subtle Meaning (of What One Asks Others,) is Knowledge.’ is inscribed. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the gopuram refers to the history and heritage of the locale and divine blessings and guidance; the computer refers to science and technology; and the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom.

The lamps refer to the values imparted by the college, namely love, service and truth.
