TOBACCO BOARD The Tobacco Board was constituted as a statutory body on January 1, 1976 under Section (4) of the Tobacco Act, 1975. The Board is headed by a chairman with headquarters at Guntur, Andhra Pradesh and is responsible for the development of the tobacco industry. The primary functions of the Board include regulating the production and curing of Virginia Tobacco; keeping a constant watch on the Virginia Tobacco market in India and abroad; ensuring fair and remunerative prices to growers; maintaining and improving existing markets and developing new markets abroad by devising appropriate marketing strategies. Its emblem has two green coloured eccentric circles touching each other at the bottom and in their middle vertically a leaf of tobacco in yellow colour is positioned. GURU GHASIDAS VISHWAVIDYALAYA Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGV), is a Central University of India, located in Bilaspur Chhattisgarh State, established under Central Universities Act 2009, No. 25 of 2009. Formerly called Guru Ghasidas University (GGU), established by an Act of the State Legislative Assembly, was formally inaugurated on June 16, 1983. The insignia of the institution has a innumerable concentric petalled lotus in a red circle encircled by its name and motto in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञान पंथ कृपान कै धारा’ meaning ‘Cult of Knowledge is Through the Blessings’ and is ensconced in a blue gear wheel turning clockwise. NATIONAL BANK FOR FINANCING INFRASTRUCTURE AND DEVELOPMENT The need for establishing a dedicated financial institution to address the long-term infrastructure financing requirements in India was realised considering the nation’s GDP growth objectives and the role of infrastructure development towards the same. In response to this need, the National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development Act, 2021 was introduced, as it denotes the return of Development Financial Institutions (DFIs) in the country after a few decades. The Act subsequently received the assent of the President on March 28, 2021 and has come into force effective April 19, 2021. Reserve Bank of India (RBI) vide its letter dated March 8, 2022 has advised that NaBFID shall be regulated and supervised by RBI as an All India Financial Institution (AIFI) under sections 45L and 45N of the RBI Act, 1934, respectively. Its logo is a wordmark of its acronym in blue with ‘a’ in lowercase.

No. 15 Squadron NO 15 SQUADRON The No. 15 Squadron of Indian Air Force was formed on August 2, 1951 at Ambala. In 1983, the ‘Flying Lances’ were the first MiG-21 Bis squadron in the Air Force to be modified for the Matra Magic R55, air to air missiles. The squadron was again number plated in 2009 and re-raised in 2012 on the Su-30 at Sirsa AFS. The No. 15 Squadron’s motto is ‘Nihantavya Shatava’ meaning ‘Annihilate the Enemy’. This Squadron is also called ‘Flying Lances’. Its insignia has a flying lancer in the centre with a ball of fire background. It currently operates the Mikoyan MiG-21 from Jodhpur.
