The red emblem of Annai Fathima College of Arts and Science (Annai Fathima College) features a shield housing the motifs of a traditional lamp, an open book, a banner inscribed with the motto of the college ‘Excellence with Relevance’ and the initials of the college ‘AFC’. The shield is supported by a pair of laurels on the sides. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; and the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.

BLACK DIAMOND COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY (BDCET) The orange colour emblem of Black Diamond College of Engineering and Technology (BDCET) features the motifs of an open book, a mortarboard hat, a satellite dish antenna, a computer, an electrical and an electrical transmission tower ensconced by a partial gearwheel and a partial circle. The name of the college circumscribes the gearwheel. On a grey banner, placed at the bottom the initials of the college ‘BDCET’ is inscribed. The name of the place of the college is written at the bottom. The gearwheel denotes technology, engineering, interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; and the mortarboard hat or Oxford hat denotes educational achievement, equality, tradition and rights of passage; the mortarboard  and the other motifs refer to the different subject disciplines of engineering.

RAJMATA VIJAYARAJE SCINDIA KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2008 by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears.
