The emblem of Puratchi Thalaivi Amma Government Arts and Science College, Mangalam Road, Palladam (GASCPLDM) features a blue circle with a golden shield inscribed with the motifs of a mortarboard hat with a scroll, an open book with a hand holding a torch and notebook with a nib of a pen crested with a flying eagle. The circle is ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college in Tamil. The seal is supported by a blue banner inscribed with the motto of the college in Tamil ‘அறிவுக்கான தேடல்’ meaning ‘Quest for Knowledge’. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the mortarboard hat or Oxford hat with scroll denote educational achievement, equality, tradition and rights of passage; the book refers to education, knowledge, learning and wisdom; the torch with flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; the nib of a pen symbolises freedom, intelligence, creativity, professionalism, determination and diligence; and the flying eagle symbolises strength, freedom, new perspectives, and spiritual guidance, representing rising above limitations, achieving clarity, and embracing power, often signaling good fortune, transformation, or courage for bold moves.
