The circular seal of Y.M.C.A. College of Physical Education (Autonomous) features a traditional Western oil lamp placed in the counter of an inverted equilateral triangle inscribed with the words ‘Atman Sariram Manas’ and ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name of the college and its year of inception. The inverted triangle is the official emblem of ‘YMCA’ movement referring to the balanced appreciation of spirit, mind and  body; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the Sanskrit words ‘Atman Sariram Manas’ represents the three aspects of human development of ‘Spitrit Mind Body’Overall Meaning: The emblem signifies the institution's mission, established in 1920, to foster well-rounded individuals by promoting physical education alongside mental and spiritual growth.

SWASTIKA The Swastika is an extremely powerful symbol which is in use for over 3000 years. The image of swastika was used by many cultures around the world, including China, Japan, India and southern European countries. The symbol has many names: ‘wan’ in China, ‘flyflot’ in England, ‘hakenkeuz’ in Germany, ‘tertraskelion’ and ‘gammadion’ in Greece and ‘swastika’ in India. Native Americans also have long used the symbol of swastika. It is an equilateral cross with its arms bent at right angles, in right-facing form in counter clock motion or its mirrored left-facing form in clock motion. It remains widely used in Indian religions, specifically in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism, primarily as a 'tantric' symbol to evoke 'Shakti' or the sacred symbol of good luck. The word 'swastika’ comes from the Sanskrit ‘svastika’ - ‘su’ meaning ‘good’, ‘asti’ meaning ‘to be’ and ‘ka’ as a suffix. It is the symbol which represents life, sun, power, strength and good luck.

MEGHALAYA RURAL BANK Meghalaya Rural Bank (MRB) was established on December 29, 1981 under the Regional Rural Banks Act of 1976. The logo of the bank has a motif of a woman and a man working in a field with a backdrop of snowy mountain and blue sky. These are ensconced in a pink circle with blue outlines bearing the name of the bank.
