The emblem of Thiru. Kolanjiappar Government Arts College, Virudhachalam (TKGAC) features an orange shield inscribed with the motifs of a veena, a flower and the gopuram of the Sri Pazhamalai Nathar (Sri Virudhagireeswarar) Temple with a 'Vel' the holy spear of Lord Murugan. Below the shield, the motto of the college in Tamil ‘உழைப்பே தெய்வம்’ meaning ‘Labour is God’ is inscribed. The temple refers to the heritage and history and divine grace and guidance; the veena refers to heritage, arts, culture and music; the flower symbolises purity, reverence and appreciation; and the shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery.
