The pennant symbolises powerful symbols of achievement, identification, and communication; and the star denotes elemental balance in alchemy (earth, air, fire, water).

The motifs are supported by a banner inscribed with ‘Electronics’ and another banner inscribed with its motto ‘Manpower Development’. This assemblage is ensconced by a gearwheel and superscribed with an atomic structure. These are ensconced by its name and a pair of laurels. The atomic structure refers to the science of engineering; the gearwheel refers to interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; and the elephants represent the State of Kerala.
