The emblem of Thiru. A. Govindasamy Government Arts College (TAGGAC) features a shield housing the motifs of the poet Thiruvalluvar, a ‘kuthuvilakku’ (a traditional lamp) , an open book and the Sri Sakthivel Malai Murugal Temple Tindivanam, supported by a banner inscribed with the name of the college in Tamil and supported by a banner inscribed with the motto of the college in Tamil. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery;  Thiruvalluvar symbolises history, heritage, and literature; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity and the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom.

DIRECTORATE OF FORENSIC SCIENCE SERVICES During 1983, the then Scientific Advisory Committee to the Cabinet (SAC-C) under the overall guidance of an Expert Committee chaired by Prof. M. M. CENTRAL WATER COMMISSION The circular seal of the Central Water Commission has a five petalled flower with a water dam, a powerline on sea water, a borewell pump, plants of cereal and a high tension transmission line each placed inside a petal. The flower is placed in an orange circle and this assembly is ensconced by a yellow circular border, on which its name in Devanagari and English and its motto in Sanskrit ‘आपो ज्योति रसोऽमृतम’ meaning ‘May That Awakens Our Intelligence’ are inscribed. The motifs inside the petals refer to the applications of water in daily life of society.
