All these are ensconced in a circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college in Tamil. This assemblage is placed on a blue lotus. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the lamp refers to light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; and the ring refers to eternity, unity and commitment.
