The emblem of the Adhi Parasakthi College of Arts and Science (APCAS) features a ‘trishool’ or trident, an open book, a glowing sun and a microscope ensconced by a decorative circular border inscribed with the name of the college. Below the seal, the motto of the college ‘Study Spirituality Service’ is inscribed on a banner. The trident refers to the Goddess Adhi Parasakthi, who has a ‘trishool’ in Her hands and its symbolises divine blessings and guidance; represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; and the microscope refers to science and technology.

MAULANA AZAD NATIONAL URDU UNIVERSITY Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is a Central University established by an Act of Parliament in 1998. UNIVERSITY OF JAMMU The University of Jammu (UoJ) came into existence in 1969 through the Kashmir and Jammu Universities Act 1969 following bifurcation of the erstwhile University of Jammu and Kashmir. The circular emblem of the university has an open book supporting a lotus with a background of mountains and surmounted by atomic structure. These are ensconced by a yellow circular border which carries its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya,1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘From Darkness Lead me to Light’ on one side and its name in Kashmiri on the other side. SANT GAHIRA GURU VISHWAVIDYALAYA The circular emblem of Sant Gahira Guru Vishwavidyalaya (SGCG), formerly known a s Sarguja University has a circular border in orange and green and has its name, place and motto inscribed in Devanagari and supported by a pair of tribal ornaments. The motto is written in Sanskrit which is an extract from the Kathopanishad ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’, (Shloka 11, Ishopanishad) meaning ‘Immortality is Gained from Learning’.
