The globe denotes education, knowledge, influence, timelessness, global unity and interconnectedness: the humans refers to the students; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the  book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom.

As the institution is named after Mata Vaishno Devi, the color palette and tripartite flow are reminiscent of traditional spiritual symbolism associated with the region.
