The pink shield-shaped emblem of Annai Women's College (AWC) house the motifs of a ‘kuthuvilakku’ (a traditional lamp) a vimana of a temple, a computer, an open book and a laptop computer ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. The circle is surmounted by a banner inscribed with the words ‘உழைப்போம் - உயர்வோம்’ and ‘Toil - Triumph’ and supported by its motto ‘Desire - Direction - Dedication - Discipline’ and ‘ஆர்வம் - குறிக்கோள் - அர்ப்பணம் - கண்ணியம்’. The shield is supported by a pair of crests of paddy. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the computers refer to science and technology; the book denotes knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the vimana refers to divine grace and blessings; and the paddy crests refer to agriculture, sustenance and farming. The colour pink symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity.

RAJMATA VIJAYARAJE SCINDIA KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2008 by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.
