The emblem of JSPM Narhe Technical Campus (JSPMNTC) features an image of Goddess Saraswati placed in a square with a red outline standing by one of its corners. Below the seal, on a red banner, the initials of the college is inscribed. Goddess Saraswati embodies the essence of vach (speech), knowledge, and creative expression, symbolising the power to purify the self through the flow of wisdom and art. She represents the pursuit of knowledge and truth, free from the distractions and illusions of the material world.

MAULANA AZAD NATIONAL URDU UNIVERSITY Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is a Central University established by an Act of Parliament in 1998. The logo of the university has two strokes of orange and green forming the shape of ‘U’ in tricolour and has a ‘Ashoka Chakra’ at its top. This is supported by an open book on which images of an atom and a burning candle are depicted. Its name is written in Urdu atop the emblem on a banner; written in Devanagari on a banner above the logo and in English at its bottom. GOVERNMENT POLYTECHNIC, RANCHI (GP RANCHI) The purple emblem of Government Polytechnic, Ranchi (GP Ranchi) features a gearwheel housing the motifs of a factory with chimneys, mining towers and trees. The motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्’ (Verse 50, Chapter 2, Bhagavad Gita), which translates to ‘Yoga is Skill in Action’ is written on a banner placed below the gearwheel. The gearwheel is a universal symbol of mechanical engineering, industrial progress and automation; the factory symbolises manufacturing, manufacturing plants, and heavy engineering production. It honors the rich mineral and industrial baseline of the Ranchi and Jharkhand regions; the mining towers represent core infrastructure sectors such as civil engineering, mining and oil extraction; and the trees are silhouettes of local trees, recognising the natural landscape of Jharkhand (which translates to ‘The Land of Forests’.

The initials of the college ‘XIPT’ in blue extra bold sans-serif letters and its name are written on the right. The ‘i’s are topped with a gear wheel and  red circle symbolising industrial production and productivity. The letters ‘S’ and ‘R’ are written like a pen to denote research and reporting. The shield is surmounted by a banner inscribed with the name and place of the college and supported by a banner inscribed with the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘विद्या ददाति विनयात् श्रेयस्’ (Narayan Pandit, 6, Hitopadesha) meaning ‘Education Makes one Humble’. The motto is written in Sanskrit which is an extract from the Kathopanishad ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’, (Shloka 11, Ishopanishad) meaning ‘Immortality is Gained from Learning’. Inside the border, motifs of a drum, supported by a pair of horns; an open book topped by a red sun ; a banyan tree and a pair of crests of millets are placed. UNIVERSITY OF JAMMU The University of Jammu (UoJ) came into existence in 1969 through the Kashmir and Jammu Universities Act 1969 following bifurcation of the erstwhile University of Jammu and Kashmir. The circular emblem of the university has an open book supporting a lotus with a background of mountains and surmounted by atomic structure. These are ensconced by a yellow circular border which carries its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya,1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘From Darkness Lead me to Light’ on one side and its name in Kashmiri on the other side.
