The emblem of Puratchi Thalaivar Dr.M.G.R.Government Arts and Science College, Madhanur (GASCMDR) features a traditional lamp supported by a pair of elephants and the State emblem of Tamilnadu, which is placed on a background of palm leaf manuscripts ensconced by a green circular border inscribed with the name of the college on Tamil and supported by a red banner inscribed with the motto of the college in Tamil ‘உண்மை உழைப்பு உயர்வு’ meaning ‘Truth Labour Growth’. The lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the elephants signify power, strength, unity and wisdom; and the manuscripts refer to history, knowledge, heritage, and education.

The university's mission is to inculcate the essence of the Sanskrit Shloka ‘पदं हि सर्वत्र गुणैर्निधीयते’ meaning ‘Good Qualities Put their Footprints Everywhere’. The bank's tagline is 'Aapka Bank, Aapke Dwaar'. The logo of the bank has a red circle superimposed by three parallel yellow strokes in unequal lengths flowing freely, upwards. The red dot denotes the hub of the bank and the parent organisation - Department of Post and the yellow lines denote its reach to each and every household providing them banking services. Yellow represents warmth, speed and light. The strokes denote speed, efficiency and quality service. AT the right of the motif, its name is written in red serif font, the serifs of which face left.
