KOUSTUVA INSTITUTE OF SELF DOMAIN (FOR WOMEN) (KISD) The emblem of Koustuva Institute of Self Domain (for Women) (KISD) features a shield inscribed with the images of an open book, a mortarboard hat with a scroll, a tool with a gearwheel and a satellite dish antenna. The shield is placed on a black circle and ensconced by a circular border with green outlines inscribed with the name and place of the college. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the mortarboard hat or Oxford hat denotes educational achievement, equality, tradition and rights of passage; and the tool and the antenna refers to engineering and technological education.
