SUBRAMANYA COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCE (SCAS) The emblem of Subramanya College of Arts And Science (SCAS) features a globe supporting a ‘Vel’, the sacred spear of Lord Muruga capped by a mortarboard hat and supported by a pair of laurels and the word ‘Subramanya’. The name of the college is written below the pictorial. The ‘Vel’ is the divine spear of Lord Muruga or Shanmuga. According to Shaiva tradition, the goddess Parvati presented the Vel to her son Murugan, as an embodiment of her shakti, in order to vanquish the asura Surapadman. The globe denotes education, knowledge, influence, timelessness, global unity and interconnectedness; the mortarboard hat or Oxford hat denotes educational achievement, equality, tradition and rights of passage; and the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

SUDHARSAN COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCE (SCAS) The emblem of Sudharsan College of Arts And Science (SCAS) features an image of Goddess Saraswati supported by a violet circle with purple rising sun ensconced by a blue border inscribed with the name of the college. The seal is supported by an open book and a traditional lamp. The motto of the college ‘Creating Pathways to Wisdom’ and the name of the college are written below the pictorial. Goddess Saraswati embodies the essence of vach (speech), knowledge, and creative expression, symbolising the power to purify the self through the flow of wisdom and art. She represents the pursuit of knowledge and truth, free from the distractions and illusions of the material world. The sun represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the book refers to education, learning, knowledge and wisdom; and the lamp represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity.
