JAGANNATH INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, CUTTACK (JIET CUTTACK) The emblem of Jagannath Institute of Engineering and Technology, Cuttack (JIET Cuttack) features an image of Lord Jagannath placed in the centre of a wheel surrounded by the motifs of a transmission tower, a factory, a computer and a gearwheel and a spanner along with the initials ‘JIET’ of the college. The wheel is surrounded by decorative elements and placed on a lotus petal shaped background. The name of the college is written on a border of the petal. Below the seal, an open book inscribed with the motto of the college ‘Knowledge is Power’ and a traditional lamp is placed. Lord Jagannath represents Odisha, its culture and its heritage and divine blessings. The lotus petal symbolises purity, spiritual awakening, resilience and the gradual unfolding of the human soul; the book denotes knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance...
