The emblem of Deoghar College Deoghar, Jatathi features a rhomboid housing the motifs of a traditional lamp, an open book, a veena, scientific apparatus and a blade of corn. The name of the college is written above the rhomboid. The traditional lamp stands for the illumination of life, dispelling the clouds of ignorance and lighting the path to continuous progress; the open book symbolises the living monument of unageing intellect, representing a broad vision and deep perception for students; the veena represents Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of learning, it signifies pure knowledge (Vidya) that promotes humility, the scientific apparatus represents the principle of cause and effect, emphasising a logical, scientific spirit and definite reasoning; and the blade of corn symbolises the agricultural prosperity of the region and serves as a call for the preservation of local flora and fauna.
