BHAGALPUR COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING (BCE BHAGALPUR) The emblem of Bhagalpur College of Engineering (BCE Bhagalpur) features a gearwheel placed on a circle, housing the motifs of a transmission tower, a water dam and sunrise. The wheel is ensconced by two concentric borders inscribed with the name of the college and its year of establishment and the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्’ (Verse 50, Chapter 2, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘Yoga is Skill in Action’ and the name of the college in Devanagari. The gearwheel denotes technology, engineering, interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the sun symbolises the dawn of knowledge, education and the elimination of ignorance through learning; and the other motifs refer to the subject disciplines of engineering and technology.
