TRINITY COLLEGE FOR WOMEN (ARTS AND SCIENCE) (TCWAS) The emblem of Trinity College for Women (Arts and Science) (TCWAS) features an open book supporting a lotus on water surmounted by the Shri Narasimhaswamy Temple of Namakkal ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name of the college. Below the seal, on a banner, the motto of the ‘Vidya Dhadathi Vinayam’ (विद्या दादाति विनयम्) (Narayan Pandit, 6, Hitopadesha) meaning ‘Education Makes one Humble’. The temple refers to the heritage and history of the place of the college and divine blessings; the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; and the book refers to education, learning and wisdom.
