SUN ARTS & SCIENCE COLLEGE (SASC) The abstract pictorial emblem of Sun Arts & Science College (SASC) features a sun holding a yellow, red, light blue and blue panels featuring the motifs of a mortarboard hat, a gopuram of a temple, a torch with flame and an open book. The motto of the college ‘Minds in the Making’ is written below the pictorial. The sun represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the mortarboard hat or Oxford hat denotes educational achievement, equality, tradition and rights of passage; the gopuram symbolises divine blessings and guidance; the torch of flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; and the book refers to education, learning, knowledge and wisdom.
