DURGA SOREN UNIVERSITY (DSU) The emblem of Durga Soren University (DSU) features a Greco-Roman style facade with columns supported by a pair of laurels and a star and surmounted by the motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘नास्ति विद्यासमं वित्तं नास्ति विद्यासमं सुखम्’ meaning ‘There is No Wealth Like Knowledge, and There is No Happiness Like Knowledge’. The name of the university is written at the bottom. The motifs are ensconced by a pair of blue circular outlines. The red, Greco-Roman style facade with columns represents a classical academic institution or a temple of knowledge, signifying stability and high standards of learning. The laurels are the long-standing symbol of victory, excellence and academic achievement. The five-pointed star symbolises guidance, aspiration and the pursuit of excellence.
