K.S.G.M. COLLEGE, NIRSHA, DHANBAD (KSGM COLLEGE) The yellow ochre and blue circular seal of K.S.G.M. College, Nirsha, Dhanbad (KSGM College) features a rising sun above the mountains, its motto in Sanskrit from Kathopanishad ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’, (Shloka 11, Ishopanishad) meaning ‘Immortality is Gained from Learning’, a structural tower, an open book and a hoe ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. The sun represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the tower symbolises science and technology, the hoe refers to agriculture, the book is a universal symbol for learning, education and the spread of knowledge.
