The emblem of Simdega College, Simdega features an open book bearing the images of the activities of the place and circumscribed by its name and motto in Devanagari and a pair of laurels. These are ensconced by a circular border with saw-tooth edges resembling a stylised sun or a radiant aura. The motto of the college in Sanskrit from Kathopanishad reads ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’, (Shloka 11, Ishopanishad) meaning ‘Immortality is Gained from Learning’. The book symbolises the dissemination of knowledge and open access to education for all; the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; and the sun represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity.

JSS SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY UNIVERSITY The emblem of JSS Science and Technology University (JSSSTU) features the picture of Sri Adi Jagadguru Bagavatpada, which is ensconced in the letter ‘ॐ’ drawn as a border. In the border at the top 'ಕಾಯಕವೇ ಕೈಲಾಸ' in Kannada  meaning ‘Work is Worship’ and at the bottom ‘JSS Maha Vidyapeetha’ are written. These are further circumscribed by three pairs of two overlapping arrows in orange and blue forming a revolving pattern also forming a hexagon. The emblem denotes constant evolution and growth.
