THANTHAI HANS ROEVER COLLEGE OF EDUCATION (THRCE) The red and gold shield-shaped emblem of Thanthai Hans Roever College of Education (THRCE) features a cross, a candle and an open book. The shield is supported by a pair of laurels and a banner placed on it at the bottom is inscribed with the name of the college. Below the shield, the motto of the college is inscribed. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the cross cross is the primary symbol of Christianity, representing the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, his victory over sin and death, and his ultimate sacrifice for humanity; the candle symbolises light, hope, and spiritual enlightenment, representing the triumph of truth over darkness and the human quest for divine connection; the book refers to education, learning and wisdom; and the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.
